First of all, thank you so much for visiting my website and your interest in pursuing water safety classes for your child. 

Originally from Belgium, I have lived in Heber City, UT with my husband Clint since 2017. We welcomed our first daughter, Willa, in September of 2021.  My parents live in France and have a pool, it was then that my awareness and desire for children's safety took precedence. My dad sent me a video of a baby who swam-float-swam and immediately caught my attention because as a family we are often in or around water and I wanted my daughter to get involved in this program as well.  After doing some research and learning about ISR, I recognized the significant need for local instructors  (as the closest ISR instructor is about one hour away), so I decided to make a career change and quit my high school teaching job as a French teacher.  With our Wasatch and Summit counties surrounded by water, it surprised me that there wasn't any ISR class nearby. I will be serving Wasatch and Summit Counties as a Certified ISR Instructor.  

I have a Masters Degree in Physical Education & Kinesiology (University of Leuven, Belgium), with this background and a combination of my love for education, patience, calming energy, safety and caring personality, I am ready to make a lasting difference for the children in my community. 

I have been a competitive swimmer through High School, taught traditional swimming lessons throughout my life and have been a lifeguard in Belgium and France.  When it comes to your child, as a parent you are always looking for the most qualified instructor.  My training through ISR will be a rigorous 8-week intensive training which includes a minimum of 80 hours of supervised in-water training.  The academic part of the training course will include subjects such as child psychology, physiology, and behavioral science. Annually I will participate in a highly specialized recertification to maintain the highest level of safety and caliber of instruction.  Besides this training I am also CPR, AED and IBCCES Autism Spectrum certified. 

I am so excited to get to meet and educate new families about the program and watch transform all the children in confident fun little swimmers!
